and the winner is...

Well, when God sets things up, he sets things up!

A long story made short:
Yesterday, I had no idea what was going to happen when I returned to Winnipeg. Today I was offered (and I accepted) a FULL TIME position at Blessings Christian Marketplace starting end of August/ beginning of September (depending on when I can get there).

I sent a resume in early afternoon, and after a 40 minute conversation/interview over the phone, I was hired by 4:00. How is that for fast? It all worked out perfectly. I heard about the openings this morning, emailed my resume, and got the job, all within 6 hours.

Of course I am grieving my need to leave IHOP and Hope City. It is still surreal to me that I am actually going to leave my cozy apartment and head back to the Peg, but God just seems to be making a way so quickly and clearly that I can't argue. I need to trust and thank Him for all that He is doing. If I can keep my heart right in this, I may just make it!

Thank you, to all of you who continue to support me in this crazy journey! This was a turn I didn't expect, but it is a turn leading somewhere for certain!

changing again

Life has a way of changing when you least expect it.

As of August 31, 2007, I will be returning to Canada.

I have been at IHOP for 2 1/2 years and have loved every minute of it. Lately, I have had some circumstances and events that have made it evident that the Lord is moving me home again.

It's a major change again, but I am willing to go where ever I am supposed to. I have no idea for how long I am in Winnipeg, or what I'm doing when I get there, but it's what I'm doing.

I would appreciate prayers, and for you Winnipegers... anyone want to come spend some time at IHOP and help me move back?

So, knowing God is in control, I step forward again, and wait to see where He takes me.

I'm still here

wow, you don't update for awhile and people get concerned! Thanks for the emails. I am still here. I am still working, and things are going well. I am praying for a financial miracle (sorry, no details) and physical ones as well. My legs have been numb on and off ever since my 30 hour train ride and that "concerns" me a little. God is faithful though, and I know that he will work all things out. It may not be the way I want it to work out, but hey... he's God and I'm not... and quite honestly... we are ALL happier for that!

Thanks again for the emails. There is lots happening and I am keeping busy with Hope City (which I really should write more about!) We had over 100 people there this past Monday night! We are thrilled about how God is touching peoples lives and God keeps showing up!

That's all for now. I'll try to update with something a little more "spectacular" and "stellar" when my heart allows.

morning explosion

all I can say is that I am glad Diet Coke isn't sticky!

I was putting cans of Diet Coke in the fridge, when one slipped out of my hand, hit the corner of the fridge and well... exploded like a bomb. It did not just spray... it EXPLODED! It took me over half an hour to clean it up. TOO Funny!
